E'mei Mountain(Xinhuanet.com)E'mei Mountain is within E'mei County in the west of Sichuan Province. The highest among the Chinese mountains that are famous for tourism, its main peak is 3,099 meters above sea level.

With ridges and peaks rising one after another, verdant plants and beautiful scenery everywhere, E'mei has been enjoying the fame as the "Top Beauty in the World."

In Buddhism, E'mei Mountain is referred to "Guangming Mountain" since it is said the Guangxiang Temple at the top of the mountain is where worshippers of Buddha Puxian held rites. In its prime, there were more than 100 temples at E'mei. Now, more than 20 remain.

Huayan Pagoda in front of the Seven-Buddha Hall in Baoguo Temple, 14 steps and seven meters high, is important in the study of Chinese Buddhism.

Looking down from the Sheshen Cliff at the Gold Top, one can usually see the colorful ring of light in the clouds with oneself inside the ring. Though it is just a result of the sunshine refraction, it will still make people feel as if they are in a fairyland.
