    Xia Shuqin Female Born on May 5, 1929

    Age when making handprints and footprints: 73

    When the Japanese army invaded Nanjing, our courtyard had two families,with 13 people in total.One family of 4 was Hui people, surnamed Ha, and my family had 9 people. The Japanese army shot dead 11 people of our two families in just over ten minutes.Seven of my family were killed,only a younger sister and I survived.I was 7 and my sister 3 at that time. I was stabbed once at the back and twice on the arm, and the scars are still there.
