Drama "Love in a Fallen City" to Hit Beijing Hong Kong award-winning actor Leung Kar-Fei arrived in Beijing yesterday to promote his first stage drama "Love in A Fallen City," which is based on the late Shanghai author, Eileen Cheung's novel of the same title. Leung's prestige in the film industry has drawn wide attention for his new role. However, during a press conference, Leung expressed some of the pressures involved with being new to the stage.

"In big screen, my acting has been recognized. While, I am a newcomer on stage, other performers are professtional, I did feel a lot stress when we premiered in Hong Kong."
He continues,
"And we have staged 26 successful performaces in Hong Kong and Shanghai, which gained me great confidence."
When told that most audiences in Beijing have an intensive command of stage drama, the actor responds,
"It is good for me that audiences have a good sense of stage drama, which will push me to study harder and learn more."
The story is about a relationship between a divorced woman in Shanghai and a dude who has returned from overseas in Hong Kong in the early 1940s.
Whether the Cantonese dialogue with Mandarin Chinese & English subtitles will be accepted by Beijing
audiences, we'll have to wait and see.
It will stage at Capital Theater from 17th May to 21st May.
