Nine-Dragon Screen
This Nine Dragon Screen constructed of tiles of seven colours was formerly the screen in front of the Da Yuan Jing Zhi Bao Dian, erected in 1756; it is 5.96 meters high, 1.60 meters thick and 25.52 meters long. On both sides there are nine flying dragons playing with dragon pearls. There are 635 dragons of all sides on the screen. This screen, the only one in China decorated on both sides, is the premier example of Chinese glazed tile art.
